What is BaZi? · 八字

BaZi (八字), also known as the Four Pillars of Destiny, is one of the most important branches of Chinese metaphysics. Based on your exact birth date and time, BaZi maps the cosmic energy present at the moment of your birth into four "pillars" — Year, Month, Day, and Hour — each consisting of a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch.

Your Day Master (the Heavenly Stem of your Day Pillar) represents your core self — your personality, strengths, and natural tendencies. The balance of the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) across your chart reveals your innate strengths, areas for growth, and life patterns.
